Where free parking actually exists
Anywhere outside the A10 ring is your friend. Van der Valk Hotel Volendam, Van der Valk Amsterdam-Amstel (free after you exit the P+R system), Fletcher hotels in Purmerend, Amsterdam-Schiphol, and Egmond aan Zee all include a parking spot in the room rate. Expect $110-$170 a night. In central Amsterdam only a handful of hotels (Mövenpick, Hilton Airport) bundle parking, and those are outside the canal ring anyway.
The P+R trick
If you’re set on staying central but driving in, book a hotel near a P+R Amsterdam site (Sloterdijk, Noord, Zeeburg, Olympisch Stadion) — $10 for 24 hours including two return tram tickets. That's cheaper than any central hotel's own garage, which runs $45-$70 a night. Hotel Jakarta Amsterdam is walkable from P+R Zeeburg in 12 minutes and has canal views for around $195.
Coastal towns where parking is easy
Bergen aan Zee, Egmond, Castricum and Zandvoort all have hotels with free lots or unmetered street parking within 200 meters. Strandhotel Camperduin and Hotel Zuiderduin in Egmond are my picks — both under $140 a night in April and October and you can walk to the dunes in five minutes.

Is street parking free anywhere in Amsterdam?
Not really — every district inside the A10 charges $4-$8 an hour until 7pm or later, and enforcement is aggressive. Don’t gamble.
Do coastal hotels charge for beach parking?
Zandvoort and Bloemendaal aan Zee charge public beach parking $10-$18 a day in summer even if you’re a hotel guest, unless the hotel has its own lot.
